Crowley Helps Polish Internet Providers to Develop
Crowley Data Poland has been consistently developing their offer for local providers of telecommunication services. Customers will be offered state-of-the-art solutions to increase the capacity of their infrastructure, improve quality of services, and open up to new possibilities.
Access to Points of Traffic Exchange, so called, IXs is one of the simplest and most efficient ways to increase efficiency and reliability of Services provided by Operators. This solution facilitates an economical use of Internet resources – it decreases the investment expenditures on building additional direct PoPs with the other Operators and offers a flexible bandwidth management with no extra costs involved. Additionally, it shortens the distance between end users and the resource, thus, significantly improving the quality of services. Crowley Data Poland offers two solutions.
The first one is addressed to Customers-Operators expecting a flexible and safe path to Polish Internet networks. Internet Operatorski Polska bez TP (Internet for Operators – Poland without TP) offers access to resources of Polish Internet networks. Additionally, the traffic can be settled according to a, so called, "95 percentile" method which facilitates an optimum line utilization and gives an opportunity to increase the bandwidth whenever needed, also, in emergency situations such as outages.
The other service is dedicated to operators searching for even more advanced solutions. Here, Crowley configures a direct connection with resources of DE-CIX, one of the largest international points of Internet traffic exchange. This IX, located in Frankfurt on Main, was created in 1995. Crowley Data Poland has their own operator router there. Operators interested in capacities exceeding two hundred Mb/s will have access to this point of traffic exchange via Crowley network.
„All Crowley Data Poland ventures involve innovative technologies. In American literature, these solutions are referred to as “disruptive innovations”, as they break through the reality” – said Piotr Kolasiński, Sales Director for ISP and Operator Team. „As we can observe, points of Internet traffic exchange have been developing on the Polish market. We notice a considerable business potential here and intend to increase our level of involvement in this area. – he added.
Thanks to the Internet Operatorski Global service, ISPs may also access resources of international networks and traffic exchanged under this service can be calculated according to the “95 percentile” method to ensure an optimum line utilization.
