Crowley Data Poland Improves Sales Results
After 9 months of 2010, Crowley Data Poland revenues amounted to almost PLN 79m. This is a 5% increase in relation to the past year. A commercial success of regional networks deployed in Polish communes combined with high efficiency in winning new contracts in the corporate sector contributed to increased revenues. According to the Management Board, in 2011 a two digit growth will be possible over again.
Restructuring, new services, strengthened sales force and investments in infrastructure got Crowley back in shape. An economic slowdown of 2009 made the company’s Board search for growth opportunities despite adversary market situation. Now, when the economy has begun to improve, the company will benefit from experience gained in hard times.
„Within 9 months we completed 100,2% of the results budgeted for 2010. We noted increases in those market areas that are strategic for us and we improved the sales figures for almost all product lines. – said Dariusz Terlecki, CDP Commercial Director and Member of the Board. „What’s more, as a result of creating specialized teams of advisors we significantly improved handling large enterprises both from the public and private sector. For example, we implemented complex projects such as the one for the Capital City of Warsaw. We plan a further expansion on this field next year” – adds Dariusz Terlecki.
Structural changes were backed up by investments. On 30 November, 2010 CDP will complete the deployment of their LMDS broadband radio network. The network, built with help of the EU grants, has been gradually released for commercial use. It currently covers the largest Polish conurbations.
In addition to radio technologies, Crowley Data Poland participated in optical fiber projects. Just recently, the company made four requests, under the 8.4 PO IG Program, for subsidizing the construction of network operating in the FTTH (Fiber To The Home) technology. The application forms cover Świętokrzyskie (Stopnica and Raków), Łódzkie (Strzelce Wielkie) and Podkarpackie (Niebylec) Provinces. Three out of four requests for grants have been formally aproved and are under a substantive evaluation now. The projects will be completed in 2011; each of them is worth of PLN6 – 8m.
„We take any available opportunity. The EU pool of Euro 1,5b available for Poland to develop the telecommunication infrastructure gives us a unique occasion to provide each household with a broadband line. Also, Crowley Data Poland has a chance to offer our customers both a higher-speed data transmission and a better guarantee of service reliability. – said Dariusz Terlecki.
Tangible advantages for CDP from investing in infrastructure translate into revenue figures for 3 quarters of the year. Regional networks in Halinow, Glinojeck and Kościana – alone – generated, within this period, over PLN 6m of revenue. The company plans further expansion in 2011; to this end, they are going to use - among others - a new frequency of 10,5 GHz., thus, increasing the range of existing CDP radio networks.
